I have just watched the webinar about the new _Equipment Times Update_, and I have a question regarding the new statuses (In Process, Complete, etc.).

How will this work for companies like ours, where we always invoice our projects before the project starts?

As I understand it, _Complete_ is the final status in the process. However, in our workflow, this status should actually come immediately after _Confirmed_, since invoicing has already been completed at that point.

How has this been taken into account for companies that work this way?

Hi Sofie, thanks for the question! Short answer: you don’t have to change how you invoice. The new statuses follow what happens to your equipment, not when the invoice goes out.

This is how the flow works:

- **Confirmed** : the project is a go: client confirmed the quote. If you invoice upfront, this is where you do it, just like today.
- **In progress** : Rentman sets this automatically when the warehouse books out the first item, but it can also be set manually.
- **Execution done** : Rentman sets this automatically when all equipment is back in the warehouse, but again, it can also be set manually.
- **Complete** : you set this yourself once there’s nothing left to do on the project.

So **Complete doesn’t mean “invoiced”**. It means “this project is fully wrapped up”. We made it a manual step on purpose, because every company finishes a project differently. Some invoice afterwards, some invoice upfront like you do.

Does that fit your workflow? If you have a case where it doesn’t, please let me know. I’m always curious to hear about those.

Jop
