Rentman Organize is here!

Hey folks! First post from me and I got some exciting news to share!

Today, we launched our new product, Rentman Organize. Rentman Organize brings all your event workflow directly into Rentman, design, planning, workshop prep, post-production, and internal tasks. Your team can plan, assign, and track work on task boards and log time against it, giving you visibility into the real cost of every project without having to piece data together from spreadsheets and separate tools.

To learn more, visit our Rentman Organize page or read the Support Article.

What do you think about Organize? Got any questions, or do you plan to use it yourself? Throw a comment down below! :backhand_index_pointing_down:

I have used it a bit as an early tester. I really like that Rentman is going this direction and including the planning side as well. Its off to a good start but will need some updates before it can replace some of the other tools out there even on a basic level.
But we will give it a go in our upcoming warehouse inventory week trip where the whole team will use it together. Will be interesting to see how it works out and the feedback I will get from them.

Would you please share some of your findings being an early tester about what you miss in order to replace other tools and what tools that is?

We’re using Notion in combination with Rentman and I feel there’s a lot of gaps in between the two also.

The tasks does not seem to be part of the webhook events? Even though the API endpoints are there - we’d need to build a polling structure which would be not so nice compared to if you guys had it included as webhook events.

Sure thing,

We use Monday.com as our main planning tool today. And Jira for more project based structure in other parts of the company. But it would be Monday.com we would like to move away from and have it build into Rentman in this case.

So far the big thing I miss is a better overview of all the tasks in a task board. You have to go in to every task seperately to see subtasks for example.

Also the ability for “nested” or sub to subitems is missing. We typically use a board as a project, with main tasks that goes with different subtasks for it and several could then go into detail in another subtask.

Better comment system (notes doesn´t cut it) for tasks and the ability to comment on a specific subtask is missing. This is how we follow progress on tasks alot.

A big must is to be able to select statuses for different task boards. We have very different statuses depending on work. If we would add all of them for every board it would be really messy.

Hi Mike,

I’ve had a first look at Organize and it looks really promising! We’ve been waiting for something like this for a while, and it solves several of the problems we’re currently running into.

Together with my colleagues I’ll put together a list of feedback and share it with the Rentman team.

Thanks!
Bradley

Nice, thank you three for the feedback. I’ll forward this thread to the team that works on Organize, so feel free to keep the feedback coming!

It’s not something we would use, but is it possible to remove it from the menu, as the menu risks becoming too busy (take quickbooks as an example) maybe a customise menu in the settings? .(also removing the popup please)

Great to see new modules being released btw

Very much agreed that the menu is starting to get busy…
